How to Ensure a Stag Party Does Not Become a Disaster

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Despite the fact that you may have spent quite a bit of time organising a stag party, it could still end up that things begin to take a turn for the worse. Maybe the guests decide that your choices are poor and they are struggling to make it a fun occasion. Maybe you chose a venue on the basis that it looked great online but in actual fact it is nothing like it appeared on the internet. That is why it is always essential to have a plan B in place for a stag night in case things start to go wrong; or else you may end up being remembered for organising the worst stags party ever. If you want to be sure that a stags party organised by you does not end up being known for being disastrous, then you should have a look at the following ideas.

- Always have a backup plan for the stag night; that way you can make changes that will salvage the night. Nobody can blame you if you make some bad choices while you are planning the occasion as long as you can rectify this during the night.

- You need to make sure you can be flexible if needs be; although it does help to plan things beforehand. If you have no flexibility in the plans that you have made, guests including the groom could become angry and frustrated. Go with the flow but always have somewhere for the flow to go is the best approach.

- Do not let the stag night be ruined because you are too stubborn to make changes. If you feel that things are going wrong and you don’t know how to remedy the situation admit this. Speak to other guests about their opinions for how to improve the night. It doesn’t matter how many plans you have made, there is no guarantee that the night will be good so don’t feel like a failure if things go wrong. A real disaster would be if you persisted with a stag party plan that was obviously going wrong.

Everyone knows that after anyone gets hitched their life changes once and for all. At least gentlemen would believe so, anyway. Kiss hasta la vista to the life of a single with a Budapest stag weekend? http://www.stagsemporium.com is the place to go to to check this out.

Reasons You’d Be Crazy Not to Consider Getting Married in Las Vegas

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

Tens of thousands of couples get married in Las Vegas every year. Besides the easy availability of a wedding license (you can get one in about 20 minutes), a plethora of different theme wedding chapels,  and 24 hour entertainment, you may have wondered why Las Vegas has become such a magnet for those seeking quick nuptuials.

As with many things in the United States today, it all goes back to California .  The first recorded wedding in Vegas was as a direct result of California’s banning of gin from wedding ceremonies . That created an instant demand for gin fueled ceremonies, so young lovers who were drunk and in were ended up getting hitched in Vegas .

The legal procedings were (and still are) blazing fast, easy to go through, and outside the chapel the lights against the desert made a nice backdrop for a post-wedding party .  Clark Gable was said to have been the first celebrity to get married in Vegas, and from then on it became the top wedding destination for celebrities and commoners alike .  Here are five reasons why you should weigh getting hitched in the Entertainment Capital of the World.

1. It is a Great Place to Spend Your Last Days Being Single

Get to Vegas a couple of days early so you can take in all the fun it has to offer (and it is a considerable amount). Go to a show or two, hit some of the many different bars and clubs throughout the city, eat your fill at some of the marvelous restaurants , and of course, you’ll want to pull at least one all nighter in a casino, just don’t lose all of your money before the wedding!  What could be better ?

What about time out with the girls (for her) ?  You can do that, too! If you shopping, there are some of the best shopping spots in the world right on the strip. Try the mall, or some of the shops in Ceasar’s, the Bellagio, or the Venetian. You’ll definitely find something worth buying. Rather do some relaxing? There is no shortage of great spas on the strip either. Simply hit the MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Cesars, or the Bellagio. The new Vdra Spa in Las Vegas CityCenter complex is also not to be missed for spa lovers .

2. Marry, Quick and Easy

Ready to get married? Getting married in Las Vegas couldn’t be any easier. One of the reasons that Las Vewgas has become such a popular wedding destination is due to the simplicity of it all. You’ll have none of the red tape to cut through in so many jurisdictions. It’s easier than renewing your driver’s licnese in many cities! You only need the $55 dollar fee, valid identification, and about 20 minutes or so, depending upon the line at the Clark County Courthouse.   For people, you’ll only need you and your loved one and, of course, someone to marry you both.  Elvis, a priest or the Commissioner, there is someone for every style. Just don’t forget to get a marriage license before you start

3. A Wedding Style for Everyone

Wedding for a party of 2 or a party of 200?  Vegas has the place and style for you.  Most wedding chapels offer an assortment of packages, from very simple to very grandiose. Rings, flowers, witnesses, everyone and everything are readily available.  And don’t worry about your guest of 200… they have a whole city to entertain themselves, so you can forget about them concentrate on your first night of marital bliss.

4. You’ll Be On Your Honeymoon as Soon as Your Wedding is Over

Why wait weeks to start your honeymoon? Why even wait until the next morning? When you get married in Vegas, you’re on your honeymoon as soon as you both say “I do.” .  From the moment you step out the chapel (or the garden, or the Commissioner’s office), you’ll be enjoying your honeymoon .  Stroll along the strip and be amazed with lights and water fountains that are brighter and larger than life.  Or stay at any of the world class hotels and make your wedding night truly memorable!

5. Move to Las Vegas

Close to 2,000,000 Americans can’t be wrong: living in Las Vegas is a serious consideration for any couple starting their life.  The city has made very good infrastructure to combat extreme weather conditions.  As the Entertainment Capital, it has 24×7 availability for basic need: food!

You know that Vegas has some fantastic shopping, but are you aware that it is also a perfect place to find affordable engagement rings? It’s true, there are a plethora of stores that cater to those couples about to tie the knot .

When you’re ready to have kids, there are no shortage of excellent public schools in Las Vegas. Green Valley High School is among the United State’s top 10, and Las Vegas Academy High School (it is public, despite the private sounding name) is excellent as well. .

It is not just a spectacular place to get married, it is also one of the best places to propose to your girlfriend too. Getting married in Las Vegas is an excellent choice, and one that is validated over and over again by 100,000+ couples every year. It just may be the perfect place for you to get married too!

A Royal Prenup

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

The Monarchy of the United Kingdom created headlines around the world this week when it was unveiled that Prince William would wed his long-term girlfriend, Kate Middleton.  Ending numerous years of speculation and also going through a short split, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been going out with one another for quite a while.  The engagement news saw a mass media storm starting with rumours about from the venue, wedding date and even the bridal dress.

Even though many people are delighted for the recently engaged couple, the cynical among us might be thinking something else.  With separation and divorce rates higher than in the past, lots of people are looking towards a prenuptial agreement to ensure that their properties and assets keep secure if a separation or divorce ever happen.  To many people, this would seem like removing the romance and undermining the wedding vows.  However, as with all things, life’s unpredictable and you can’t ever be sure what the future has entailed.

The Royal family has experienced divorces in the past and whilst past-members of the Monarchy aren’t necessarily left to fend for themselves, the wedding next year may be the most modern Royal marriage yet.  With modern times arrive modern notions and prenuptials are becoming increasingly common, especially in Western modern society.

Just what would a Royal prenup be like then?  Members of the Royal family have lots of public responsibilities but possibly most significantly, an unbelievable increase in public attention and coverage.  Nevertheless, we have observed that if a Royal marriage sadly result in a breakup, although it can lead to a profitable speaking career, it may also result in financial uncertainty when people become used to a certain kind of lifestyle.

Prenuptial agreements operate by making certain that should a couple get divorced, their possessions remain their’s and are not divided up amongst the parties.  Conventionally, both parties are entitled to 50% of the income from the marriage’s existance.  That is to say, if one of the parties decided not to have a job during the marital life, they’d still be allowed to receive a large proportion of their partner’s income.  This has ended in divorce pay outs in excess of $100 million.

Arguably an ex-Royal member would still be cared for to some extent by the Royal Family, even in the event that there wasn’t a prenuptial agreement signed.  Having said that, a Royal couple getting married would probably not get a prenuptial agreement – specifically because prenuptial agreements have unclear legitimacy in Great Britain.

Nevertheless, a recent divorce agreement saw a prenuptial arrangement validated in court, perhaps suggesting a social and legal change in thinking.  This may mean that lawyers, such as IBB Solicitors, are beginning to pay more and more attention to prenuptial contracts.  It shall be interesting to see how the landscape of divorce law changes if more young couples sign prenuptial agreements in the United Kingdom and how attorneys like IBB Solicitors will be affected by the demands of a changing marriage lifestyle.

Engagement Ring Ideas

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

Besides the actual act of marriage, the decision to become engaged is perhaps one of the most important milestones in a person’s life. And to mark this important event, nothing is more significant than the engagement ring. The engagement ring serves as a symbol of , trust and commitment, given to the person with whom you hope to spend the rest of your life. It’s an important decision, but once you’ve made it, you’ll want to be absolutely sure you choose just the right ring. To help you in this process, this article we will explore some of the more popular styles of engagement rings available today.

The engagement ring is a lasting symbol of , honor, fidelity and commitment—something you will both give and wear proudly (hopefully) for the rest of your life. The problem with making a decision on the perfect ring, however, is that there are so many styles to choose from. To help thin out the number of choices, your best bet is to closely look at your partner’s style for clues. Men who typically wear little or no , for example, will usually prefer a simple gold band. Women with elaborate tastes, on the other hand, may only be impressed by something that truly sparkles. If you’re not sure of your partner’s unique tastes in , you may want to ask around by checking with their friends and family first.

Engagement rings have changed considerably over the years, but for those who prefer a traditional touch, you can still find antique engagement rings which represent a simpler time. Maybe you’ve been given a ring which has been passed down through your family for a number of years. Either way, antique engagement rings can help you celebrate your special day in style without putting too much of a dent in your pocketbook.

Without question, the most popular gemstone for engagement rings is the diamond, but simply knowing this does not always make choosing the right ring any easier. That’s because there are so many styles of diamond engagement rings to choose from. Solitaire diamond rings, for example, feature a single diamond stone, cut in a variety of ways to suit your tastes. A trinity diamond ring features 3 diamond stones, usually of equally size, in a horizontal row. And an offset diamond ring can generally be identified by the larger diamond stone in the center of the ring and smaller diamonds on each side.

Choosing the perfect engagement ring for your future wife or husband is an important decision, with many, many factors to consider. So important is this decision, in fact, that if your engagement is to be a surprise, you may want to ask a friend or professional jeweler for assistance. And if it’s not a surprise, if your engagement is planned, there’s certainly no shame in shopping for rings together. This is the best way to ensure that each of you gets just the ring they want.

Ladies that are presented as a gift a diamond by their loved one are bound to be besotted for some time to come. More often than not they are received when a men wish to propose marriage to women. The eternity that society has linked to the precious rock is twofold; first that it is incredibly hard-wearing which it will outlive you. Secondly it is symbolic of that lasts forever. Hence when lovers exchange diamonds they both appreciate that this is forever. There are not many actions which a man could do than to think about proposing with an engagement ring.

You can associate several meanings to a diamond. A diamond should not be conceived as an object that should be offered lightly. Often couples can take this to mean for eternity. If your union between two people is not at this point, the consequence could be a measure of uncomfort.

It is appropriate for children to bestow their mothers a gift containing a diamond because this is a that is everlasting. The same can be said if a sister bestows her sister or brother with a likewise gift. Colorless stones are normally emblematic of an occasion to take place. Such as an engagement ring, which signifies the union of marriage.

Men should realize that it does not have to be the most expensive rock on the planet. Simply giving the ring and diamond to women assures makes them feel exceptional.

There is a chance that men who think that there happens to be a conspiracy on the part of the diamond industry to make masses of money might discover that they are less respected by women. A Beauty of a Diamond Is More Than Sparkle Deep

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Nothing says “Will you marry me” quite like a diamond engagement ring, although selecting which diamond is not just a matter of finding something that shines. Diamonds have four levels of quality referred to as the four c’s. These are carat, cut, color and clarity. The subsequent value in addition to how much you will pay for a diamond are based upon these characteristics, which will in turn determine the final cost of the engagement ring.

The American Gem Society (AGS) depends on one structure of grades to identify the quality of diamonds as evaluated by expert appraisers, and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has a separate scale. Both give qualifications to some of the features of a diamond – cut, color and clarity. The AGS assigns grades on a 0 to 10 scale. Lower numbers denote a superior grade of diamond. The flawless diamond would qualify with 3 grades of 0 as well as a high number for the carats indicating weight. GIA grading system for color range from D to Z, clarity commencing from FL to I3 plus cut ranges between poor and excellent. Many jewelers ultilize one or both of the grading scales.

Color and quality are two traits evolving naturally in diamonds. The weaker the color in the diamond, the lower the figure it is graded with, among engagement rings yellow or pink diamonds are growing in their commonality. Diamonds without any color are given a 0 grade by the AGS scale, but GIA’s grading system prefer to use letters to rank diamonds using D for a colorless diamond progressing up the alphabet to Z which denotes very colorful diamonds.

A diamond’s clarity denotes the quantity of imperfections present within the gem. Which also go by the name of inclusions. The quantity of these as well as how visible they are within the stone determine the diamond’s GIA and AGS grades. The alpha-numeric figures that determine clarity used by the GIA list grade the best diamonds as FL (flawless), VVS1 (very, very slight inclusion), VVS2, VS1 (very slight inclusion), VS2, S1 (slight inclusion), S2, I1(inclusion), I2, and I3. As with the other ranks applied by the AGS, the grading system to categorize clarity commences from 0 to 10 with 0 being a flawless diamond and 10 used to denote several flaws.

There are a range of diamond cuts exist, but not like the color and clarity, the cut reflects directly on the skill of the artisan cutter. Since there are a number of cut styles, a cut diamond is ranked in three ways by the GIA to indicate the stone’s cut: total light if the diamond displays (brilliance), sparkle (scintillation), along with light dispersion (fire). These comprise the the most digestible rank used by the GIA: excellent, very good, good, and poor. The AGS assigns a rank from 0 to 10 with 0 the best and 10 a poorly cut stone.

The carat weight of a diamond used in an engagement ring is a unit which determines the the diamond’s weight. The vast majority of diamonds in engagement rings weigh under one carat equalling 0.2 grams. Carat weight is universal and regardless of which rating system is used by the jeweler, the carat weight will not change. For the most part, the bigger the diamond, the more expensive that the engagement ring will be.

Smaller diamonds can be used within an engagement ring provided that you compensate with several other stones. The preferences of the woman wearing the ring should dictate your choice since diamonds are a girl’s best friend, although some women long them on their engagement ring more than the rest.

Wedding Photography : Is Traditional or Modern the Best Option?

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

Everyone looks forward to their wedding day and wants to remember it well in the years to come. A great way of doing this is by getting a good wedding photographer. There are two types of wedding photography you can choose from – traditional or modern. Modern photography is all about catching the action as it happens, with little staging. Traditional photography is better for more formal photo shoots and often involves setting up the camera for each individual shot. They both have their merits though, so read on for more.

Depending on your personal preference, you may want to make a decision about what kind of photography you want. Because traditional photography takes more work, this is great if there are specific shots you want to take, such as the bride and bridesmaids or the groom with his groomsmen. Modern photography is good for recording moments as they happen and, if you go for this option, the photographer will provide less direction, instead waiting for a photo opportunity to arise and then capturing it so the emotion is genuine.

Probably the main reason you invite a photographer to your wedding is so they can capture the personal moments that make the day so special and immortalize them forever. In this respect, modern photography probably trumps traditional as it is loads better at capturing moving shots. The development of cameras means that it’s now possible to take photos without waiting for the subjects to hold a pose, meaning the photographer can act on the spur of the moment to capture some great, natural shots.

Of course, some people find it a little bit daunting having their photograph taken. It’s hard to act naturally when there’s someone hanging around waiting for the perfect moment to click the shutter. If this sounds like you, then perhaps consider traditional photography. Here, the photographer will provide you with more support, setting up the photo shoot exactly as you want it and making sure you’re comfortable before taking any photos. They take all the stress away from you by directing the shoot from start to finish.

An area where traditional and modern wedding photography are equally good is sharpness and lighting. These are what make nice photos become works of art, so they’re really important. Modern photography offers you variation in sharpness and light as the photos will be taken in lots of locations and conditions. Traditional photography is great for arranging photos in an artistic manner as it can include specific conditions if you want a particular kind of portrait. Either way, you’re going to look great, so just relax and enjoy your day.

How to Ask Your Partner to Marry You

Friday, February 11th, 2011

Have you decided that’s it’s finally time to pop the question? Are you stumped on ideas on how to propose? Thinking that everything that can be done has already been done previously? If so, you have come to the right place. In this article we will discuss some fresh and innovative ways to ask your partner to marry you, including some ideas that will completely surprise her and be truly memorable.

So you’re thinking about asking your bride to be to get married, and you need some ideas on the best approach? This is a fairly common scenario, but actually, you don’t need to be extra creative to make this moment memorable. Some women are looking for nothing more than a heartfelt, traditional approach, one in which you get down on one knee and profess your true feelings. While this may seem like a “vanilla” approach to asking the woman of your dreams to tie to the knot, it is still one of the best approaches you can take.

If the traditional approach sounds boring and uninventive, you may want to consider an alternative approach. One method that is very popular these days is the public proposal. This can be risky, but if you’re fairly sure you’ll receive the answer you’re expecting, there is no better way to share this special moment than to ask her to marry you in front of family and friends. This can be done at a party or family gathering, and will allow all of the people the two of you hold important to share in this very special moment.

If a traditional, and or public proposal doesn’t sound like the correct approach for your wedding proposal, maybe you’d be more interested in something a bit more daring. For instance, you can take her to your favorite sporting event and have the words “Will you marry me” appear on the marquis or take her to the movies and have those words appear on the screen as part of the coming attractions. Whatever you decide, you can be sure it will be a moment she will never, ever forget.

When the time comes to ask the woman of your dreams to marry you, there are several approaches you can take. To be sure you choose the right one, try hinting around in normal conversation to see which method she would prefer. After all, if you want to make sure everything goes perfect, a little preparation is always the best approach.
